How to get your own back

Most of us understand how to earn trust with other people, but how do you learn to trust yourself?

Trust is a firm belief in the reliability, trust, ability, or strength of someone or something. It’s easy to lose and hard to earn. We earn trust in others by doing what we say we will do, owning up to our mistakes, and disagreeing with respect.

But why is it that we will keep our commitments to other people, but not with ourselves?

In this week’s episode, we dive into the 3rd element of confidence: learning to trust yourself. Knowing how to get your own back is easier than you think.

The 4 key elements of an emotionally mature leader

EQ is the ability to make emotions work for you instead of against you. A lot of leaders have the right IQ, but lack the emotional maturity to be a strong leader.

In this episode you are going to learn the 4 elements that make a mature leader. How many years of experience you have is not relevant to emotional maturity. Your ability to manage your emotions is the difference.

Many leaders have adult tantrums and yell or get angry when things don’t go how they want. Mature leaders know how to own their feelings and can learn, inspire, and bring the team along to reach the end goal without needing to intimidate or demand things go a certain way.

Learn the 4 elements to be an emotionally mature leader today.

Implicit Bias

Protests are happening around the world. People are rightfully angry. Black people need support and to be amplified. Action needs to be taken to change policies, change systems, and hold people accountable.

But action needs to be taken be all of us daily. We need to learn. We need to grow. We need to do better.

An implicit bias is your unconscious attitude or stereotype towards something and we all have them. They come from your past. From your experiences. From what you consume.

But your implicit biases also drive implicit actions that don’t always align with the beliefs you want to have.

In this week’s episode, I talk about how to become more aware of your implicit beliefs and why I think is important now more than ever.
